Youth Academy

Dallas Texans Soccer Club | Youth Academy

Overview

The Dallas Texans Soccer Club believes the development of our youngest players is paramount. We understand that these young players are the future of our club and consequently, the Youth Academy strives to aide each and every player that attends in their development.

The academy program provides the developmental bridge between recreational soccer and competitive soccer. In this program we will form teams in the preselect age groups from ages 6 – 10 years old. Our youth academy teams will participate in various leagues and tournaments and ultimately become part of our competitive program.

The Youth Academy will be held during the following time:

  • Fall Season (August - October)
  • Winter Season (November - January)
  • Spring Season (February - April)
  • Summer Season (May - July)
  • Summer Camp (July)

Every year our competitive division has experienced major success at the state, regional and national levels. In addition, our players individually have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional level both in the US and abroad.

We look forward to seeing this success continue and grow with even more players benefiting from our Youth Academy program.

If you are interested in participating in the Dallas Texans Youth Academy, please reach out to the Academy Director, Ahmed Ashmawy at 214-906-2799 or ahmedash@hotmail.com.

Our philosophy is to provide all participating players with a positive and fun learning environment with an emphasis on the fundamental aspects of the game. It is our belief that fun and enjoyment of the game remains the most important element for success.

The developmental age of the participant is taken into consideration with regards to the content and delivery of the sessions. There will be challenges given - but they will be achievable. This guarantees that each player experiences a raised self-esteem and most importantly, experiences the fun and enjoyment of soccer.

Uniform Ordering Process

MyUniform is an on-line ordering system that has been designed to give all users more control of their uniform ordering process. This new system will ensure better communication between The Soccer Corner and the managers/players during the ordering process.

Setting up the player account

  1. The coach or the manager will enter the parents of each players email address.
  2. Each player’s parent will automatically be sent an email. The email will provide a link that will take the player directly to the uniform ordering system.
  3. The player’s parent will set up a user name and password.
  4. The player’s parent will then log-in to the system and place their order by the designated deadline.
  5. The player’s parent will then make their payment online. Payment is made with a credit card. Purchasing a visa gift card for payment if you do not have a credit card is the simplest way to complete your order.

The Dallas Texans clearly understand the supportive roll that our parents play in the successful development of their child. Therefore, we will strive to consistently communicate our objectives with the parents.

The development of each player will be evaluated and this assessment will be discussed with the parents at the end of each season. To maximize the potential of a young soccer player, parents are expected to:

  • Encourage the player’s efforts / support the player’s results always
  • Eliminate instructions from sidelines – coaches will provide instruction, parents will provide encouragement
  • Display excellent sideline behavior – families represents our club and are great sportsmanship role models for our players
