October 7, 2007: Dallas Texans Day
The evening that marked the opening of the Ross Stewart Soccer Complex was
an outstanding success in every way. This was a direct result of the many people
that comprise our club, that give selflessly of their creativity, organizational skills,
patience and hard work.
When you stood on the edge of the complex and surveyed the field filled
with our parents and players, you had a sense of the club's past, present and very
bright future. We would like to extend to everyone our heartfelt gratitude and thanks
for being a part of this significant moment in the history of the Dallas Texans. The
complex will provide many worthy young men and women the advantage of a
quality facility on which to pursue their goals and dreams.
We would like to thank all of our guests whose presence gave the ceremony greater importance; the City of Farmers Branch, the Ross Stewart family, North Texas State Soccer Association, representatives of both Classic League Boys and Girls, Fox Sports Channel, SMU, Solar Soccer Club, TFC Soccer Club, former Texans and current professional players, Nick Garcia and Jose Burciaga, Sports Source, e7Sports, Wells Fargo Bank, Gatorade, Pepsi, and all of the families and coaches that make the Texans the club that we are today.
